This was for a Mazda RX7 that was running a Aim32 PDM and dash set up. Since this was a custom build the first step was take measurements and start mapping out the harness. At the time I was using Excel and Draw.io for my harnesses. Since the start I’ve been supplying documentation to my customers so any can look at my wiring and know what each wire does.

With the harness fully planned out , cutting and running wires is the next step, using Automotive grade and high quality materials. Wire sizes are based on function and on Amp draw of the object it is powering.

Once all wires are ran they are crimped to meet IPC standards which are the standard that manufactures are held to mass produce wiring assemblies. The harnesses are then loomed with F6 Fire retardant loom and labeled with shrink tube. Each connector is assigned a number that refers to the diagram.
